Hello & Welcome!

My name is Melissa and I am a licensed Naturopathic Medical Doctor (ND or NMD) currently practicing at Protea Medical Center. I specialize in treating endocrine-related diseases such as thyroid disease, peri menopause and menopause, low testosterone, fertility, adrenal gland dysfunction and more!

More about me…

Dr. Melissa Clark is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor who graduated top of her class with the highest academic honors from Sonoran University of Health Sciences (formerly SCNM). Dr. Clark has also completed a postdoctoral residency in endocrinology, and has received advanced training in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. She believes in making the science of longevity and hormone optimization digestible so patients can learn how to take actionable steps towards optimal wellness. She is passionate about working with patients of all genders who are battling thyroid disease, low testosterone, perimenopause, menopause, infertility and more.

Dr. Clark’s promise to her patients is to always listen with intention so that together you can create a treatment plan that will help get you from “surviving to thriving”. She understands how difficult it can be to read contradictory health information online, and thus she always goes out of her way to ensure that you leave each visit with a new, and deeper understanding of your health.

Experience & History:

Growing up as a high-level athlete back home in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Dr. Clark experienced disruptions in her hormones which caused many issues with her menstrual cycles. After having multiple ovarian cysts rupture, and trying medications that didn’t bring her relief, she sought out a healthcare provider who would help uncover the root cause. This led her to her first visit with a Naturopathic Doctor. She was blown away by the time she had with her doctor, their in-depth approach to her symptoms and their eagerness to help bring her lasting relief.

Dr. Clark had always been interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, but it was this exact moment that ignited her passion for Naturopathic medicine. After receiving her Bachelor’s of Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia, she moved down to Arizona to complete her doctorate education.

In her spare time, she enjoys staying active with road cycling, running, yoga and resistance training with her husband, Daniel. Additionally, she loves mentoring incoming Naturopathic medical students. Dr. Clark is also an avid animal lover and will never turn down an opportunity to see photos of your beloved animals.
